Can my transition leave run past my ETS? Example: My ETS is 13 March and I have 71 days of ETS leave. Can I schedule it to start ON 13 March so that my base pay and benefits continue for a few months after? Can my ETS leave run past my ETS?2018-11-09T12:18:27-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member4113168<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have been through AR 600-8-10 multiple times and can’t find and answer for this anywhere. You either have to go on leave early enough to take it all, or sell it back.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 9 at 2018 12:25 PM2018-11-09T12:25:51-05:002018-11-09T12:25:51-05:00SFC Ralph E Kelley4113331<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>NOResponse by SFC Ralph E Kelley made Nov 9 at 2018 1:25 PM2018-11-09T13:25:38-05:002018-11-09T13:25:38-05:00SSG Robert Perrotto4113353<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>the answer is no - what will happen is you will put in for terminal leave, 30 days and below can usually be approved by the BN Commander or Company Commander, over 30 will need to be approved by BDE lvl - need to check your policy letters - any leave you cannot take will be sold back. My advice, go on block leave and burn 11 days, then submit your terminal leave packet for 60 days. worse case scenario it doesn't get approved, you take 30 and get a months pay when you separate.Response by SSG Robert Perrotto made Nov 9 at 2018 1:33 PM2018-11-09T13:33:43-05:002018-11-09T13:33:43-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member4114038<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No it cannot.<br /><br />Reference para 4-21h, AR 600-8-10.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 9 at 2018 6:47 PM2018-11-09T18:47:21-05:002018-11-09T18:47:21-05:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member4114737<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Negative, Ghost Rider. The Pattern is full. Either take Leave that starts on 2 January (or sooner 28 December, if you include November and December count) or sell it back. There is no going beyond the date of ETS.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 10 at 2018 12:29 AM2018-11-10T00:29:43-05:002018-11-10T00:29:43-05:00SGM Private RallyPoint Member4119106<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Your ETS date is your last day on the payroll. That only changes if you sign an extension or reenlistment.<br />You need to take your leave or sell it back.<br />If you sell it, you only get base pay minus taxes, you are better off taking the leave.<br />The only benefit that extends beyond ETS is Tricare TAMP.<br />If you have not attended an SFL/TAP briefing, you need to get to one now.Response by SGM Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 11 at 2018 8:57 PM2018-11-11T20:57:07-05:002018-11-11T20:57:07-05:002018-11-09T12:18:27-05:00
