However, there are provisions for long-term temporary profiles, but that is completely up to the commander. When I was in command I wouldn't allow it all. If a profile was long-term they could get a permanent at a year and if it was chronic we would bar them. Based on what you are looking for see what the commander wants as he has a lot of discretion. My last Commander did however allow it under certain circumstances. She did require the SM to sign a memorandum however stating that the SM taking the test was aware of the provisions of the profile as well as the consequences of failing a record APFT. It is up to your command. Talk to your medical provider about it, but your profile does tell you which events you can do. Go onto your medpros, print it, and comply with it. If you're not sure, just speak with your PA.
