Can someone re-enlist in the military if they were discharged for depression?

Too vague. If discharged, what was your RE code, much depends on that. Also was the a VA rating with that diagnosis. Only way to find out is to take your discharge to a recruiter and ask. Worse they can say is no.

If that RE 3 is Army discharge, you have a slim chance. Any of the other branches and you are not likely to have any chance. Why the differences between branches, I will never understand.

If you are off medication, and have a psych doc note saying that you no longer have any issues, and meet the requirements to overcome the RE code, and meet the time and rank requirements to otherwise be eligible.

Theoretically, yes.

Realistically. Probably not.

You'd also have to take in consideration that Prior Service is not always an open Recruiting Category. It depends greatly on your MOS and Grade at time of discharge.

I should say not they need to be care for it's people like that who are suicidel in some cases?
