It may be a contributing factor to obtaining waivers to earn Specialist or possibly appointment to Corporal. As a Corporal it is,optional to receive an NCOER. I applaud you for leaning forward and taking responsibility for a big challenge.

AccrueResponse by LTC Jason Mackay made Jun 3 at 2019 4:31 PM2019-06-03T16:31:37-04:002019-06-03T16:31:37-04:00CSM Darieus ZaGara4694198

You will not receive official credit unless you receive a rating on and NCOER. As far as acrew Chief time, i'm not sure what your MOS is or what your acrewing it for?Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 3 at 2019 8:30 PM2019-06-03T20:30:24-04:002019-06-03T20:30:24-04:00SSG Dale London4694926

Probably not. Chief time accrual requires you to be at least a Corporal. SPC won't count so, if you're Chief, buck for a lateral promotion to Corporal and then you will rate an NCOER.
In any case, if you get that slot again, work your butt off and get your CO recognize your efforts with a local certificate of appreciation. It will count towards your promotion points for Sergeant and Staff Sergeant (5 points is better than a poke in the eye). Other than that, you will get some great experience and become a better soldier.Response by SSG Dale London made Jun 3 at 2019 10:11 PM2019-06-03T22:11:47-04:002019-06-03T22:11:47-04:00SFC Ricky Turner4745327

Well it gives you training, but doesn't guarantee you the slot.
