HQDA will impose a mandatory BAR. If I am not mistaken, you have 12 months to overcome the BAR or you have to be separated from the Army. Your ERB will show an 8K. Better get the paperwork ready to get a new school date, and you better pass next time.

Didn't you get an event oriented counseling statement from your cadre before you were dismissed on the failure? I bet it said as much on the form. I can almost guarantee that it says something in the SOP for the school where you took the course

Absolutely. You failed an NCOES school, which means you cannot be promoted. You also lose the promotable status, and have to go before the promotion board again.

Maybe things have changed since I went to PLDC many many years ago but how in hell does anyone academically fail that course? When I went through they did everything they possibly could to help you pass. It's not rocket science.

According to regs, you can also be reduced in rank for failing NCOES. Don't fail NCOES.
