Can you deploy in the same unit as a friend? 2020-08-02T00:16:19-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 6166132 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’ve recently had a friend join the National Guard after talking to him about it and wanted to know if there was a way to deploy in the same unit at the same time. I recruited two friends into the National Guard. They both came into my BDE but they were in different battalions. We all deployed together. I have seen friends, brothers, both parents and a son and husband/wife teams all deploy in the same BTN/BDE. My uncle and I deployed on the same mission to the UAE. Before that, my brother and I arrived in Afghanistan the same day. Mission comes first, and not all MOSs find themselves together throughout a mission, but I bet having a good friend in uniform with you will be a great source of strength. The ONLY reason I could see this not happening is the losing unit would be deploying soon as well and simply not let the other soldier go.
