Do you have the class and identifier already? 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 26 Aug 2014 13:38:25 -0400 2014-08-26T13:38:25-04:00 Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 26 at 2014 1:57 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/career-progression-is-brigade-mrt-good-for-career-progression?n=218008&urlhash=218008 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I haven't seen it listed on a TDA or MTOE as an actual duty assignment, it's usually an additional duty. Having said that, as long as you perform well in the position and only do it for 1-2 yrs, it could be a career enhancer. Any longer than 2yrs is too long for an additional duty and I would prefer more like 1 yr. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 26 Aug 2014 13:57:34 -0400 2014-08-26T13:57:34-04:00 Response by 1SG Calanski Brunson made Aug 26 at 2014 2:25 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/career-progression-is-brigade-mrt-good-for-career-progression?n=218051&urlhash=218051 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As someone that has done Brigade MRT rep from startup I say its good, but not a broadening assignment. If you translate what you did well on your NCOER board members will see that as going above and beyond your peers. This position is just an additional duty, with talks about making this into full time job. I know starting from scratch it was a complex machine and trying to juggle my job and the MRT job turned into some long nights. Once I got the program up and running and everyone was on board the program was easy to maintain. The Army is putting more efforts into MRT and expanding it. Don't fight the responsibilities once you went to this class you as a Senior NCO should be teaching this to your Soldiers and never back down from this position. If you fight it why have the 8R identifier? 1SG Calanski Brunson Tue, 26 Aug 2014 14:25:31 -0400 2014-08-26T14:25:31-04:00 Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 5 at 2014 6:25 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/career-progression-is-brigade-mrt-good-for-career-progression?n=228622&urlhash=228622 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Regardless of the branch of service, additional duties enhance who you are. Embarrass the additional opportunity with open arms. SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 05 Sep 2014 06:25:39 -0400 2014-09-05T06:25:39-04:00 2014-08-26T13:19:52-04:00
