When we were kids, we had dreams of what we would be when we grew up. As we got older, many times those dreams adapted to our tastes and our abilities. For example, when I was a kid I wanted to be a public speaker. However, with my limited exposure to public speakers, the only ones I knew were either politicians or preachers. Neither one of those interested me. When I started high school, I was fascinated with law enforcement. I wanted to be an FBI agent. And somewhere along the way, I had dreams of being a soldier as well.

My question is this. When you were a child, what was your dream for when you grew up?

My dream was to grow up to be an Army man or a cowboy…preferably horse cavalry, the combination of the two. Was able to be a soldier, still kind of sad that the cavalry does not have horses.

As a kid, I had always said I wanted to be a mortician. My mom would just laugh because she said I couldn't clean out the fridge without dry heaving. As it turned out, mom is always right.
