That will be a decision made by your PCM and the Med Board if it gets to that. It'll certainly make you less likely to deploy to an austere environment.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 10 at 2020 10:10 AM2020-09-10T10:10:30-04:002020-09-10T10:10:30-04:00SSgt Christophe Murphy6297887<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It is possible but it all depends. Most SM's have a tendency to have high BP from time to time. If someone is suspected of high BP they will end up being put on a 7-14 BP screening and will get checked out. It will progress from there.Response by SSgt Christophe Murphy made Sep 10 at 2020 10:56 AM2020-09-10T10:56:29-04:002020-09-10T10:56:29-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member6298550<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It's possible to be discharged for "high BP" but usually one can get it under control with medication, dietary changes, and a good exercise regimen. Then if you maintain it in a normal level, they would have no reason to boot anyone.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 10 at 2020 2:53 PM2020-09-10T14:53:23-04:002020-09-10T14:53:23-04:002020-09-10T10:07:30-04:00
