Why do Medical MOS personnel have a medical symbol on their CAC, other MOS branches don’t?

PFC Private RallyPoint Member Most medical personnel are considered non-combantants and should be easily distinguished from other members. Of course this also lends to easily being taken out by the enimy.

It identifies them as medical providers under Geneva Convention

I served 4 yrs. as an AF ER medic and never wore any insignia while on duty. We wore white scrubs.
We very rarely were required to wear our dress blues.

Question makes no sense. Med MOS's have the time immortal Caduceus cause they are medical. INF-crossed rifles, FA crossed cannon, ADA- Crossed cannon w/missile, etc.. It would be silly for the Queen of Battle to have it on their CAC, what we will heal you after we kill you?

Identifies them as medical personnel, which has specific Geneva related reasons.

Should be on your Geneva ID card. Get rid of CAC if captured, too much info besides Name, Rank and SN on them*. I remember mine as a white card similar to a chow card that was laminated. Nothing on there but required info and Prisoner category.

* AFAIK, never had one but I have been told if you scan, it has a heap of info on it.
