DA Mandatory Boards for O-3 https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/da-mandatory-boards-for-o-3 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In the NG, 0-3 slots are getting very hard to come by. Currenty, more 1LT's are having to go to the DA-Mandatory board verses admin promotions.  The issue is, at least in the NG, most admin personnel have no knowledge of how these boards work, or even that they exist.  While it is the Soldiers ultimate responsibility to ensure their packet is good to go, most packets are not being reviewed prior to submission.  I've talked to 3 1LT's today that had "jacked up" packets submitted because their units admin rep's gave them bad info about what needed to be submitted.  Any 1LT on Rally Point should ensure they understand how these boards work before hitting the submit button on their packet. Here are some helpful tips:<div><br></div><div>1. Ensure your ORB is up to date with every unit you've been with, your college degree correct, and your ribbon rack in your DA photo should match your awards on the ORB. If you don't have an award on your ORB, but you've earned it, take it off for the photo and fix it later.</div><div><br></div><div>2. Ensure there is not ONE day missing on your OER rating periods.  I stress the ONE because I had a day missing and almost missed to cut off.  It takes longer than you think to correct that.  </div><div><br></div><div>3. Ensure your PT score is up to date.</div><div><br></div><div>4. Outstanding Medical and Dental issues as well updated as well</div><div><br></div><div>5. HAVE SOMEONE FROM YOUR UNIT GO OVER YOUR PACKET!  They do not submit the packet, you will through the HRC website.  However, ensure someone gives it a "once-over" to ensure you are not missing anything. </div> Sat, 05 Apr 2014 09:32:06 -0400 DA Mandatory Boards for O-3 https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/da-mandatory-boards-for-o-3 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In the NG, 0-3 slots are getting very hard to come by.
