Does wearing corrective lenses (glasses) disqualify you? Do glasses disqualify you from Class 4 Flight physical for 15q? 2020-02-05T10:23:13-05:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 5522219 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Looking into reclassing to 15Q and I understand the Class 4 Flight physical is a requirement. But again, not my field so I could be wrong. The only vision ailment that&#39;ll prevent you from passing a flight physical is color blindness. Color recognition is an absolute must in aviation. I&#39;m a 15Q by trade and am currently a 1SG of an ATC Company and I&#39;ll tell you that I&#39;ve served with many controllers and aviators who wear glasses. The flight doc will simply anotate on your upslip (flight physical) that you need glasses to perform aviation duties. Aviation also tends to get favored for corrective surgery so if you do decide to make the transition lasik will become much more accessible to you. If you have any more questions about ATC let me know. As long as you can hear/see you&#39;ll be fine. Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 8 at 2020 7:59 PM 2020-07-08T19:59:25-04:00 2020-07-08T19:59:25-04:00 2020-02-05T10:23:13-05:00
