Do I put a campaign star on my OIR campaign medal?

I have asked my leadership and have got mixed answers and checked regs and I am still confused. I just back form Iraq In support of OIR would I put a campaign star on the award?

AR 600-8-22 dated 9Mar19 shows 2 campaigns. You get a campaign star for each campaign you spent one day in. AR 600-8-22 page 167 shows the campaigns and page 37 covers the medal.

While I haven't found anything of the contrary, every campaign and campaign phase you accomplish is a campaign star on your ribbon.

It depends on what your memo for the for the award says if it says you have a star then yes you put it on The ribbon and the medal if you were to ever wear medals.

Yes and that should have been on your authorization orders for the ribbon
