I went to Korea 2016-2017 with the 8th Army.Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 12 at 2018 10:22 PM2018-08-12T22:22:25-04:002018-08-12T22:22:25-04:00CSM Darieus ZaGara3875716<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The tour length is not normally reduced for an unaccompanied assignment. However, you will need to correspond with the gaining unit. Many stations in Korea are now accompanied making the tour length three years. It cannot hurt to ask. Thank you for your service.Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Aug 13 at 2018 4:53 AM2018-08-13T04:53:20-04:002018-08-13T04:53:20-04:00SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member3876858<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes you can get your orders changed. When I was put on orders to ROK (2014), I was given the option at my Levy Brief. After some discussion with my wife, we decided that it would be easier for me to go unaccompanied for a year rather than try to move 3 people and a dog to South Korea and back. Talk to the local orders/transportation office.Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 13 at 2018 12:12 PM2018-08-13T12:12:46-04:002018-08-13T12:12:46-04:00SGM Private RallyPoint Member3882898<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The general tour length for Soldiers in Korea is 1 year, unaccompanied tour.
