Cpl Kevin Henderson 4213647 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Good afternoon, Rally Point Community.<br />I was wondering if having a spouse that&#39;s also serving is easier on a marriage because they can relate with what you&#39;re going through. Or, is having a civilian spouse easier because they help you mentally by not always &quot;talking &quot;shop&quot; after work. Do you feel marriage is easier between a military couple or a military/civilian couple? 2018-12-16T18:29:27-05:00 Cpl Kevin Henderson 4213647 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Good afternoon, Rally Point Community.<br />I was wondering if having a spouse that&#39;s also serving is easier on a marriage because they can relate with what you&#39;re going through. What matters more is whether or not your spouse is wealthy, especially on a Cpl&#39;s pay. No one can afford to maintain a household on that. (I know. My VFW post is helping feed more than 3,500 families at Camp Pendleton) And always keep in mind, there is no nobler cause than to marry for money... Bottom line is if you and your SO are not the same rank there will be conflict. If you and your SO are not both serving, there will be conflict. That’s my opinion based off experience. I think the military certainly adds stress to any couple but it just depends on how they deal with it that makes them successful or not.
