Just caught this on the evening news. Apparently the perp has to wear an ankle bracelet and live with his lawyer. I'd think living with a lawyer would be more severe punishment than going to jail (sorry, to my JAG friends). Canadian law prevails. Unfortunately, we'll likely see this kid again in a headline.

I don't have a Law Degree, I am not a Lawyer or Judge, I have not read the Canadian Constitution and Laws Involved but I suspect it is the Right, Legal, Call. I may not like it but that is just the way some things are.
