Hopefully when it counts the Troops retain some of that information but nothing beats Hands On. When I was taking the Telecommunications Managers course I took extensive notes and copied them 3 times before I called it a night everyday and that seemed to have done the trick. I have to make it into a Physical Action to retain it even if it is just copying the information.Response by PO1 William "Chip" Nagel made Dec 30 at 2015 11:38 PM2015-12-30T23:38:12-05:002015-12-30T23:38:12-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member1206718<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes! It's a CYA for higher ups mostly with good intentions to actually encourage/discourage a behavior. Yet in the end it's just "they were trained to/not to do this." In person classes are no better most of the time. Even if you take tests then it's presented in a way of how to pass the test not understand the material. This is because instructors need to keep their pass/fail rate up or its their fault. Honestly I think a higher fail rate would be better than no one understanding what they were supposed to be learning. Some things like ethics/SHARP/EO can not be taught in a 30 min online class or a one day "Safety Stand down" it must be mentored over time but that can not be measured.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 31 at 2015 1:10 AM2015-12-31T01:10:57-05:002015-12-31T01:10:57-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1206887<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It is!Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 31 at 2015 6:41 AM2015-12-31T06:41:26-05:002015-12-31T06:41:26-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1206972<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>yeah i kinda do, its the new digital army and political agenda pushed down on us.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 31 at 2015 8:14 AM2015-12-31T08:14:15-05:002015-12-31T08:14:15-05:00SFC Michael Hasbun1207070<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This topic was hit on by the Strategic Studies Institute a while back. What I would like to see are pre-exams that will recertify us if we score high enough...say 85 or 90%.<br /><br />The other thing I wish would change is how the ASAP courses are done. I HATE HATE HATE! how we have to enroll for all of the different substances separately.
