Does anyone have any unique ways to remember the NCO Creed?

I understand repetition is key. I just wanted to see if anyone had a cool way to remember it or make it easier to remember. Thank you!

Break it down on flash cards (however you’d like). Keep saying a card until you remember it, and then do 2 cards, and so on.

The biggest test will be to grab your family or buddies and practice it out loud multiple times with a straight face. That’s where you’ll fumble the most. Good luck.

Someone once told me the first word of each paragraph is N-C-O.
"No one is more professional than I..."
"Competence is my watchword..."
"Officers of my unit..."

That did help me to learn it a little easier. Along with that it was just repetition. Reciting it over and over.

My squad leader made me face a wall and say it ever hour on the hour during the work day. 2 weeks later i memorized the entire thing flawlessly.

I never did memorize the NCO Creed, but I did learn a unique way to memorize long passages. I was a Czech Linguist in the Regular Army, and we had to learn dialogues at the Defense Language Institute. One instructor taught us to memorize from the bottom to the top: recite the last line aloud 2-3 times, then the previous line 2-3 times; then recite both lines 2-3 times. Continue adding the next previous line until you finally get to the beginning. This way, the following lines come naturally, rather than needing to search your memory for them. Of course, you will need to continually recite the passage in order to retain it. We could memorize a one-page dialogue in about 30 minutes, and nearly half of the words were brand new to us; I used the same technique when I took clarinet lessons in college. It also helps to do this while standing up; it is too easy to daydream when you sit down. Try it and let me know how it works for you. I am guessing that you are going before a Promotion Board – good luck.

The only way I really learned it was to say it daily for 6 weeks at NCODP.

My suggestion is to practice saying it to yourself everyday with specific intent on learning it.

I would put it on repeat on my radio driving to PT every morning and like SGT Boeck said, say it in front of a mirror.

Try writing it over and over, not typing, but hand writing as that engages a different part of the brain from speaking.

Turn it into a song, or take another song and change the words.
You could have the next hard rock, or wrap classic.

The remembering will come as you honestly comprehend what you're saying and constantly reciting it. You need to believe every word of that creed because if not, you'll see no flow of context nor content. When there's no comprehension and conviction it makes it so hard to recite because you're simply reciting, rather than retaining to abide by it.

Start with the first stanza. Hand write it and recite it as you write it until you remember it. Then add the second stanza after the first doing the same thing and repeat for third stanza when second is memorized. The first stanza was the most difficult but after that the second and third were relatively easy.

Remember 1 sentence at a time, once you recite 1, then add a sentence and recite everthing up until that is done, continuing to build up like that (ie....
Remember sentence 1, then 1&2, then 1,2&3, then 1,2,3&4....etc.)
It worked for me.

I generally recommend taking a copy and post it some where you go often (latrine, fridge etc.) and you read it out loud / recite as much as you can (look when necessary) before you access the area and before leaving. It forces the function and before long - you'll have it down.
