Whether at home or at your NG Center. The reasons your Soldier is having issues accessing is that her CAC is either expired or she entered her pin incorrectly one too many times and is locked out. I recommend that your troop contact AKO Help Desk first, in case it is just locked out. Otherwise she would need a new CAC issued.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 1 at 2017 1:52 PM2017-06-01T13:52:59-04:002017-06-01T13:52:59-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member2615937

Unfortunately no. This is becoming a problem with the part time Service, in my opinion. Fewer Soldiers in this current generation actually use personal computers. While CAC readers exist for some tablets/notebooks, they were really expensive last time I checked (Like over $200).

I find it to be a monthly struggle with my unit, especially as a senior leader and especially as we get closer to training events. I am having to bring my personal laptop to work to monitor important things put out on the dot mils. Going to a reserve center or armory is not necessarily convenient; in less populated areas such centers tend to be farther away.

OK..Im off my soapboxResponse by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 1 at 2017 6:00 PM2017-06-01T18:00:46-04:002017-06-01T18:00:46-04:00SFC Michael Hasbun2617111

You can get a CAC card reader at most PX's for like $30.
