Does anyone know of a good Graduate program besides AMU for an Intelligence oriented Degree?

I currently hold a Bachelors of Arts in Intelligence Studies from AMU. I believe that it is best to attend a new school. However, I am having a hard time finding one that offers a regionally accredited online Intelligence ordinated degree. My Career goal is to work in long term strategic Intelligence Planning with an agency or the state department. If someone has a better idea, let me know.

What is your reason for leaving AMU? I would finish out with them and take advantage of the network opportunities they have to offer. Have you joined the various clubs and chapters they have to enhance your endeavors?

Check out Liberty University online programs, I'm doing Master of Arts in Executive Leadership (MAEL) but they are regionally accredited and give military discount, with great support, I'd recommend them to anyone!

Maybe don't focus on intelligence and rather focus on strategic relations. I know catholic university has a good strategic relations degree. My friend did it after AMU and loved it. You'd be hard pressed to find a school that is not military oriented that would offer a specifically intelligence focused program. Take a look at Norwich too. They have some good stuff out there.

Mercyhurst University has a MS in Applied Intelligence that can be completed online. Probably the strongest option.

American Military University - I don't see the harm in staying. Have you considered an International Relations degree with a regional focus and corresponding foreign language.

SFC Private RallyPoint Member The University of Central Florida has related degrees that look interesting. Intelligence and Security Studies are two fields that they offer, I think. As to their acceptance of your degree you'll need to do the footwork. I am not sure what they do or do not accept from online universities. Best of luck.

I'd recommend doing something beyond single tracking in Intelligence. Like SPC David S. recommends, I'd look at something in Foreign Relations or Government Security. Johns Hopkins has a MA in Government-Security Studies for instance. Don't limit yourself to the "go-to" online universities. Take a look at what the major, well known universities have to offer for on-line courses. You'll find what you're looking for and some stuff that will round out a resume much better than single tracking in one area.

Also, the University of Washington in Seattle (Main Campus) used to offer a Master's of Science in Critical Infrastructure Program. They have since changed the name of the degree. The new degree is found at this link:

A lot depends on what you mean by intelligence ( intercept, collection, management, analysis, human, electronic, imaging, cryptanalysis, strategy, etc ) what really attracts you, what will make you feel fulfilled, and what you want to accomplish over the long term in chosen intelligence field. You might consider a broader education involving reading, writing, and analysis -- not solely confined to intelligence -- perhaps with some international languages and regional focus on specific historical, social, and cultural studies of particular interest to you. You might consider a wide range of potential employers at home and with close allies abroad in private and government sector (CIA, NSA, DIA, NGA, etc). One often neglected path is USDOS FSO Bureau of Intelligence & Research . . . this would involve taking Foreign Service Officer exam . . . posing unique status and opportunity. Ultimately, you have to decide whether you want a safe desk job or pursue more vigorous open ended covert field ops work.
