Occasionally I'll see a command coin but they tend to get picked up quickly (stolen).Response by CAPT Kevin B. made May 28 at 2016 11:57 AM2016-05-28T11:57:32-04:002016-05-28T11:57:32-04:00MSgt Peter Vatistas1571317

Penny: You knew him/her
Nickel: You went thru boot camp with them
Dime: You served in the same unit
Quarter: You were there when they died.Response by MSgt Peter Vatistas made May 28 at 2016 4:16 PM2016-05-28T16:16:53-04:002016-05-28T16:16:53-04:00PO3 John Jeter1571484

On my Patriot Guard missions, I carry a handful of pennies for those graves I pass with military markers. In my watch pocket, I carry wheat-backs for those that are KIA. We recently took part in a burial for remains of a POW/KIA from Korea where I left a wheat-back and a PGR challenge coin. It means a lot to the families when they see those coins or anything else there.Response by PO3 John Jeter made May 28 at 2016 6:18 PM2016-05-28T18:18:05-04:002016-05-28T18:18:05-04:002016-05-28T07:45:17-04:00
