PO2 Private RallyPoint Member 2101481 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Today I found out I picked up 2nd class (good news). I went through PO2 indoc at my last command. My last command put all our petty officers through the course so we could knock it out early. Now, since I just picked up 2nd class, im wondering if I have to go through PO2 indoc again. Ive done research. Cant find a direct answer. The date was May 2015 and it is documented in my ETJ. Thanks. However, your CoC can tell you to have the training again if they deem it is necessary for you. Think of it as a refresher. We all do annual trainings that cover same topic every year. What is the harm of another PO2 indoc? Just have your Chief or whoever is in charge of the Indoc to verify it. He (or She) will probably give one of three answers: 1) He might give you a proverbial pat on the back and thank you for not wasting Command resources, by not sitting through it again. 2) He&#39;ll say that there&#39;s been enough changes that you need to go again. 3) Go ask someone in Personnel. If there&#39;s ANY doubt, or if you feel you&#39;d have to use regulations to &#39;force&#39; them to accept your prior training, DO THE TRAINING!! Whether or not it expires, there&#39;s good reason to go again at this new command. On the surface, it can potentially bring out some nuanced privileges and responsibilities unique under that CO. Beneath the surface, you DON&#39;T want to be THAT guy who always goes to the Regs to get his way. Good for you for doing the course early, but with every Command they may require you to attend it again depending if they added or amended any additional course instruction. Check with your Chief or personnel dept to make sure. Keep up the good work. Another thing, check your service jacket and make sure your course attendance and successful completion in May 2015 are logged correctly or you will have to take the course again at your new command. Congratulations Shipmate! I talked to the POSLC facilitator and gave her my FLTMPS print out. She said I was good to go and I am now a frocked HM2 (ill keep my rate thank you). So that concludes that issue, hopefully this post helps someone in the future.
