Does RallyPoint need a mascot?

I'm thinking we as a community need a mascot. What do you all think? I would be for my bulldog being a candidate.

I like the mascot idea, but would have to vote against a bulldog given that is the USMC mascot. (Nothing against YOUR bulldog, or the Marines!) :)

I'm sure with all the creative minds on here, we'll have a lot to pick from in short order!!

I like the idea of a RallyPoint Mascot and I love dogs, I think the bulldog is too Marine oriented- maybe we can go with a different adorable puppy.

I'm going to have to nominate an American original: the American PitBull Terrier.

No bulldog! Cute dog, 1SG Private RallyPoint Member , are you a closet Marine? No, it's definitely got to be a service-neutral mascot. How about......an owl, to represent the collective wisdom of the community? No? How about....a seagull, to represent the sea, air and land components (sorry, seal was taken already, and yes the seagull operates on land. Ever seen them walking around on the beach?)? No? OK then, how about.... a platypus; an animal that is an amalgam of different parts- just like us! No? OK, then how about...... an eagle? An animal that is represented liberally within all of the services? Nature's true Joint creature.

The DOD already has the Mule, Goat, Bear, Bulldog, Falcon and of course the Bald Eagle. We are all Veterans, and I agree a mascot would be nice but should not be one that we all ready have.

I nominate the Labrador because, like the military, they are loyal, friendly, athletic, playful and, when necessary, can work hard. I have one named Harley and he is a very loyal and friendly dog who loves his daddy.

Here are a few suggestions:

Honey Badger; you know, he just doesn't give a ....
Black Mamba; its a pretty ferocious snake, and how awesome does black mamba sound coming off the tongue?

For a more 'Murican route there are these:
Alligator; awesome, delicious tasting,and a throwback to the great show Enlisted
Turkey; it's what Benjamin Franklin would have as our national animal
Bison; it's simple and majestic

oooo just had one pop in my head, the RallyPoint Raptor.... be it Jurassic Park genius Raptor or like a Peregrine Falcon. I vote evil genius Raptor

I know wikipedia has errors but this list of USA original breeds is a good place to start.

I think the Boxer would make a great Mascot, look what dogtime.com says about them.

I would be willing to offer up one of my huskies. This is Smokey. She is loyal, hardworking and dedicated (to whomever gives her attention), she's a great hunter, great in extreme environments (especially if there's snow, very selfless (unless it comes to treats), and has already had to deal with family issues, deployments and can handle artillery (as we live close to Bragg). She can look fierce, but she has a heart of gold.
