Does the Navy still give “peanut Butter shots” (Gamma Globulin)? 2018-04-18T16:36:03-04:00 Marcus Raven 3556189 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m trying to figure out does the Navy still give new recruits the peanut butter shot, or do they give it to the new recruits in a pill form? Dread of the shot is worse than the shot. The more you relax, the less it will hurt. It also depends on the person giving any shot. Shots are a fact of life and should not be given a second thought. You will have more important things to be concerned about. Are you enlisting in the Navy?<br /><br />.<a target="_blank" href="https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=">https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=</a> [login to see] 2550AAh3r3z <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101024192550AAh3r3z">index</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"></p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by Sgt Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 18 at 2018 5:24 PM 2018-04-18T17:24:41-04:00 2018-04-18T17:24:41-04:00 LT Private RallyPoint Member 3556731 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The answer to your question is yes. The peanut butter shot still exists. I’d be much more worried about what happens after the shot. GG is a specialized shot- I have only had it 3 times in my career- each time headed for the Mid-east or Africa. There is no pill, and I never got it in basic. Accidental stick with a used hypodermic comes to mind. Some people think its the worst thing about enlistment (LOL!!!), and they tend to build that up in the heads of others. As for me, it didn&#39;t bother me much at all.
