Dual Military/MACP/BAH? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/dual-military-macp-bah

Is there a way for me or my wife to be together in the same duty station if she is in Korea and I’m in fort bliss? I’m done with processing and she just started processing her MOS is a cook 92G and I’m an FDC 13J
I know there’s a policy with them having up to 12 months to bring you together but is there anyway to speed up that process? And as far as BAH they said we wouldn’t be getting that?.. thanks in advance! That's the first step. Then HRC will be able to start to work your assignments together. Your wife will be at Korea for one year, which is the DOD mandated minimum tour length, and then PCS to your location. 12 months that you're referring to is the sped up process. As for being assigned together, if you are in the MACP, you will once she completes her tour. It is not likely that you will be in the exact same unit at Company level, but you may be assigned to the same Battalion or Brigade. Ensure your paperwork is straight. The important work is on her end when it comes time for PCS, check now. Thank you both for your service. My spouse is currently in Korea. I was informed by my branch manager MACP doesn’t apply for KOREA. When your spouses your is over in Korea she “should” receive orders for where your stationed once the paperwork for MACP is received by HRC. With that said if both of you will live in the barracks. The only exception to this is if she is a E-7 in Korea and your a SSG stateside. If you were a SSG you would receive BAH based off your rank. If she is a E-7 in Korea she is allowed to live off post. I am a SSG living stateside while my spouse is in Korea therefore I don’t live in the barracks I receive BAH. If you have anymore questions you can message me as i am pretty versed when it comes to MACP. For housing purposes you are both considered single until you are relocated. That being said, Korea, last I heard was 13 months. So when your spouse has orders for your location with an arrival date submit a request to move out of the barracks. Don't know how long your approval process takes. Do it as soon as there are orders. Vonice LarsenBailey Tue, 16 Mar 2021 01:06:26 -0400 2021-03-16T01:06:26-04:00 2019-07-08T19:18:38-04:00
