Look, I am not asking Anyone to put themselves out on a Limb by outing themselves on something they don't want to. I am just asking that you really think long and hard on what kind of training is taking place here and why now and for what reasons. There are real threats and issues that should be addressed that are being pushed aside and outright ignored on our southern borders. I have a real problem with prayer rugs being found and Armed soldiers crossing our borders daily and yet you guys on active duty are training to" close a Walmart" and god knows what else. Take a good hard look at Border towns and what the Local Sheriffs have to deal with down there. Priorities seem to be really screwed up now days and we ALL need to have a true Gut Check and do our due diligence and research whats going on. Not everyone will see what I believe is truly going on and that's fine! All I ask is to have an open mind and truly look at whats going on without judging me or anyone else for asking questions or being concerned.

Sorry to say it but Jade Helm is training for Martial Law and using US Troops as a Police Force In My Humble Opinion and I have a problem with that!

We have lots of land in the US were we have essentially free reign.

If it is unconstitutional, What article is being transgressed? If it is that illegal, no one has challenged it in court? ACLU? If so what was the outcome? Is this a military coup or is it an executive branch power grab? How are they funding it? Is the Legislative Branch complicit? They would have to appropriate the funds to resource it. How is Congress keeping it secret? If it's true purpose is so secretive, how are they keeping thousands of military personnel, local governments, and federal employees in the dark? The logistics alone would have to be in place already. Would someone not blab to someone?

People will allege that this take over is "imminent". I am going to tell you that exercises like this have gone on forever and no martial law to speak of has been implemented. What is the set of conditions? I have not participated in Jade Helm, but I have fought 40 plus rotations at NTC as a Krasnovian and as a Parumphian Paramilitary Group (OPFOR), a similar fictitious region, with similar atmospherics. Can honestly say the objective was never to settle the issue of who retains the Mad Greek in Baker CA. I want to be sympathetic to the concerns, but I don't know where to begin. It seems social media has done a solid job in working people into a frenzy over unsubstantiated facts, rumors and innuendo.

Are we to believe that any exercise with other agencies is "clearly" meant to do harm to the "average American" because of the political affiliation of this President? But if this was done 10 years ago, would we be concerned?

It's not that having a question is bad, but reading this thread, what concerns me is that no amount of evidence refuting the premise that this exercise is anything out of the ordinary will stem the near-paranoia that keeps us divided. I ask again, aren't' we better than this, especially military service member and veterans? If this freaks us out, how do expect uninformed civilians to react to our hysteria?

I am not one to press the panic button, certainly not a conspiracy theorist, but it is ironic that the so many Walmarts in the Jade Helm states have been closed with only 5 hours notice to the entire staff. Several have had mobile guard towers installed in the parking areas, and several are being guarded 24/7 by LE. Pics and video do not lie. If there is nothing to hide they should give a reasonable explanation to calm peoples fears.

There are plenty of things worry about from Our Government but this is not one of them. Waste, Fraud, Abuse of the peoples money being number one. The other being that the Federal Government is a bloated pig, you could kick it in the butt on Monday and the Brain would get the message on Sunday.

If some one actually tried to pull something off like the Internet hype is claiming it would get leaked by some one on the inside. It is also just to big of a task, and there are no where near enough SF Operators to pull it off.

The guys in my VFW lounge have decided to allow the opposing forces to show up and start buying the rounds. Blue forces can buy rounds on ODD days. Red forces can buy rounds on EVEN days.

Really? Are we supposed to go spend even more tax money, and go through incomprehensible levels of a**-pain, just to practice such things in another country, so that some people here won't think we're practicing to use certain skill sets against them? Where the flying f*** else are we supposed to train? Some things we want/need to train on with foreign partners, some we don't. And just because we conduct this type of training on a larger scale than normal, doesn't magically mean it's because we want to take over America. Greater size means greater complexity, which means greater coordination effort required, which means better training.

And I have yet to meet anyone else in the SOF community who would go along with a military take over of the US. None of us would take part in such a thing, we take our oaths very seriously.

My office on FT. Bragg was across from the Jade Helm planners office. I sat in on quite a few briefs and even gave my two cents on how to incorporate NG SF. This is simply the graduate version of "Robin Sage". Instead of a doing it as individuals in the SF Qualification Course it will be for SF Groups to do as a unit.

Another way to prove it is valid (not martial law) event is look at the units who will be participating. No SOF unit has a mission or METL that involves anything close to do with "martial law". If it was to train for martial law it would by for conventional forces (heavy MP influenced).

This was a brain child of senior SF leaders to make the SF Groups better trained to do their core missions.

I find it really frustrating that even though we should all be on the same team, those who have served and are concerned with the increased military activity in "CIVILIAN POPULATED AREAS", that were being considered paranoid and kooks. Just because were not serving along those who wear the uniform today, doesn't mean that we can't be treated with the same amount of respect that you deserve. I served in the 7th Infantry Division in Ft. Ord, CA. as my first duty station for 3 years, 10 month's at Ft. Hood, to finish my 4, after that, I re-enlisted for another 4 to go to Germany, re-enlisted another 4 just to go to Ft. Carson, CO. 4th ID 1-12th Inf. And in my 9 years, the only time we deployed to a populated city was during the LA riots in 1992. And that was it, NEVER have I ever conducted "military exercises" in such a setting here in the U.S. It was either Ft. Irwin, CA. Or Ft. Hunter Ligget, CA. Or Pinion Canyon, CO. mount sites (mock cities) in Ft. Ord, Ft. Carson and Ft. Benning. And I'm telling you, though the movement of military vehicles by train isn't unusual, it is when they have UN on the side of them. It's unusual to conduct simulated live fire exercises in neighborhoods where people live, especially at night in low flying air craft over a downtown city firing blank rounds. I don't care how long you've been in, or what rank you are, or where your stationed at, IT...DOES... NOT.... HAPPEN!! So stop trying to insult our intelligence, by telling us that we're crazy. I don't expect you higher ups to jeopardize your positions, and tell us anything if their is in fact something going on, what harm can come from bringing awareness to others who share the same concerns? And just because you may think that our theories are a bit far fetched, and such actions are against the Constitution, and that it would be your duty to disobey any unlawful order, I agree, but it will not stop those who do tend to follow orders to detain and or disarm U.S civilians, and I would hope by that time, if it happens, we can all be on the same team.

A little off topic Posse Comitatus that is the federal law that prevents the federal government from using troops for law and order is not in the constitution it is just a federal law. Something that came about right after the civil war.

I listen to YouTube to be entertained on this matter because all the hoopla and teeth gnashing are almost hysterical. I believe the President feeds into their paranoia though and the subsequent backlash. At times I have wished they would be shut down as to not excite people. I also believe Alex Jones has been told to chill out and it was probably not an idle threat either based on the way Jones characterized that it is NOT martial law.
