Ever felt ripped off or exploited because of your military connection?

The infamous payday loan companies. Used car dealerships. Shady local businesses. Bad insurance companies. Dishonest online deals. Alot of us, unfortunately, have been targeted and taken in through our military connection. We wind up being ripped off, cheated, angry and embarrassed. Ever had your own story about this you are willing to share with us? Any words of advice to offer us? Feel free to name businesses that target and cheat military members.

There was a business in many malls and maybe its still operation but its called, "Best Buy" not to be confused with the actual Best Buy retail giant that sells electronics. The sales associates would stand outside their store front using various tactics to get someone to come inside. They were good at find a service member too. Best Buy sort of like Rent-A-Center where they pay 10 times the value of an item like a TV or a video game console. They liked military because they know we have to pay our bills or face repercussions from our CoC.

Was at the local mall in Sierra Vista, AZ for my initial training and I realized that I did not have my phone charger with me. I went to one of the kiosks and the guy there attempted to charge me $40 for the charger (I'm guessing he thought I was a sucker because of my haircut). I continued to refuse all offers, even down to $12, which just continued to disgust me. I would up at Verizon and purchased a charger there for around $10 and was not treated like an idiot with too much money.

Still ticks me off today.
