Finally ripped out the old carpeting! I think it was worth it. What do you think?

So I finally took the time to tear out the old carpeting and I think the hard wood looks much better. What do you think?

That is a score!
In Chicago, they used to do put things over hard wood all the time. The old way they built the flats made the floors above you creaky. I'd take the noise and the wood over anything else.

I love the hardwood. Why would someone cover it up? And it looks in great condition!

Thanks! I don't know why, but when we got the house we knew it had to go! Glad it was hard wood undernieth and in pretty good condition.
