Soldiers can advance through the ranks from Private to General, with opportunities for promotion based on time in service, performance evaluations, and leadership potential. To those who are interested, transferring from the IRR to the Army Reserve is easy. You don't have to reenlist or obligate yourself 6 years, just talk with an Army Reserve Career Counselor (ARCC), find a position, sign a DA4187, and most of the time, that's it. My CHALLENGE to you is to at least talk with an ARCC and make them work for YOU. Just do them a favor and DON'T shop them between other ARCCs. They all have access to the same info and follow the same rules. GO RESERVE TODAY!
