Flu shots for Veterans in VA healthcare system

The VA has announced that Walgreens will provide Flu shots, starting now, for all VA healthcare participants free - for the first 75,000 Veterans with a VA healthcare ID Card. Those who come after the first 75,000 without any other insurance may have to pay a small fee for the shot.

Nice of Walgreens to do something for the military especially when they decided to not accept Tricare any more.

CVS gives free flu shots to anyone regardless of vet status and has been doing so for years. This year they are also giving a 20% off shopping coupon.

What really pisses me off about the VA is that they accept Medicare but won't accept Tricare.

In addition for all you Vets in the Chesapeake VA Area. They are having a free med clinic this Saturday October 17, 2015 for Vets put on by Dr. Montero in at the Chesapeake, Lifestyle Center from 9 am until 12 or maybe 1:00 pm. Please SHARE - especially in that area!!!
