Fort Campbell deployments?

Does anybody know anything about units being deployed from fort Campbell? I will be getting stationed there in mid December. Also wil they make me go air assault there?

Going to the Sabalauski Air Assault School is strongly encouraged and I highly recommend you get yourself ready to go. The 10 day course will challenge you not only physically but mentally as well. Don't fear it, embrace it and wear the badge with honor. As far as units deploying I'm not sure since I left the division in 2004.

You should ask soldiers stationed there offline (personal messages) and not on a discussion like this. OPSEC reasons. Never know who could be watching

If your Infantry your going to Air Assault School and they will keep sending you until you pass or at least they used to do that. If you fail AAS and your Infantry......you will be harrassed in almost every way (lol)......it's not hazing though (good to read that hasn't changed). Unit deployments are covered via the Commanding General of the 101st (EAGLE 6) he has a facebook page and does regular updates to it. Just find his page via Google and LIKE IT in FB and in about 3-4 weeks you should have a good idea where all the 101st units are.

I’m deployed now and am in the 101 CAB, you are required to go to air Assault school once at Campbell. When you go through in processing they will train you up for air assault school.

Fort Campbell does deploy a lot but that all depends on the unit and if you are assigned to said unit and if they need you to deploy! Also, you can and will have the opportunity to go to Air Assault Schmotzer but don’t have to go if you don’t want to go! No one can force you to go to a voluntary school I was IG and Legal for over 2 years I should know!

I was there 101st air assault school was great and I always like riding in the ropes down the towers. Its going to be a adventure just pay attention to pass the test
