Georgia offers a free driver's license to vets what does your state offer vets?

The state of Georgia offers vets who have served in any war or on active duty a free drivers license. If you are a vet in GA all you need to do is take your DD-214 and go to your local VA office and get in endorsed by a case worker. In Chatham county which is where Savannah, GA is their are 3 case workers and the process takes about 3 minutes.

What does your state offer to its veterans?

Texas offers free state tuition after a certain number of years.

In Virginia all active duty can get free concealed carry permits (not sure about retired)

I was in Ohio a few years back trying to renew my license, and while looking at the various ones they have, I noticed they had NO active duty Army plates. They had the reserve and Guard, and even BOY SCOUTS, but no active duty Army... it was kinda disheartening to see that.

LTJG I did not know this but I have a questions. do you have to join the military from Georgia or you can be stationed in Georgia?

When I was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington they offer a license expiration matching termination from active duty. For me right now that's 2024. Pretty nice not to have to renew my license unit I retire.

I get a free (sort of) Purple Heart plate. for my car in Washington State. Actually, the license fee is free but they still charged me $11 for it anyway.

LTJG Isn't it great with the license and retiree tag. I don't believe you have retired yet. I also like the tax deal they have for new cars.
