I think for the time when it was made, it is pretty accurate. Much better than others like Midway (one of the WORST WW II films ever!) and even better than Pearl Harbor. I understand the stars have to be shown throughout the movie, but for a modern movie, to have current Navy ships with the hull numbers blanked out is unforgiveable. Also, for this group of people to be involved in every facet of the Pearl Harbor attack is ridiculous! I can maybe see getting their P-40s into the air, but then to not keep patrolling the skies and be at Pearl Harbor helping try to rescue sailors, giving blood, AND being part of the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo.....WOW!
