Grand jury decision in Ferguson https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/grand-jury-decision-in-ferguson <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Finally, justice for officer Darren Wilson! The grand jury returned &#39;&#39;no true bill&#39;&#39; meaning no indictment! There will never be true justice for this officer, as I&#39;m sure his career is over. I may be wrong, but realistically, how can this man continue to work in law enforcement anywhere near this community? At least he and his family won&#39;t face the financial and emotional turmoil of a legal battle to stay out of prison for doing his job. I ask that all active duty, and vets join me in praying for officer Wilson and his family. Looting and burning has begun, decades old businesses burnt to the ground. I-44 in South STL closed down in both directions by protestors near were other young male (this one armed) was shot by police. The prosecutor did an excellent job at the press conference explaining the evidence and facts of the case and the outcome. I feel sorry for all of the decent hardworking people of Ferguson and the business owners. to commute right through there on my way to work. Please pray for all of St. Louis. He and the rest of the law enforcement community nationwide must now try to overcome this stigma, fueled by highly opinionated, round-the-clock media coverage and Twitter. Our Commander-in-Chief (that's a good one) has done nothing but fuel further disdain for the police by making it his personal business like he did with Trayvon Martin. Because of the federal involvement in this case that thankfully exonerated Officer Wilson, it has also set an unsettling precedent. As long as Obama is in office, every subsequent case that involves a white police officer shooting a black man is going to be expected by the public to be given the same scrutiny as Mike Brown. My biggest fear is that the next time this happens, the officer involved will become a scapegoat and thrown under the bus in order to appease the liberals, the race baiters, and the PC crowd so as to prevent another riot. I don't like where this is going. Anyway I went up and thanked the two soldiers. Called their command center in in Jefferson City and asked if I could get pizzas delivered to them. The NCOIC said they would like that better than MREs for lunch. So the two got a 16" pepperoni and garlic cheese knots delivered to them. Of course I am not sure I would want to be in that Humvee around 1330. He will probably be subpoenaed into a federal court for Civil Rights Violations and after that the family will probably find some attorney to sue him civilly for wrongful death. Though I feel for the family of Brown I feel more for the Officer who's best split second decision will be persecuted, or prosecuted (depending on your point of view) for a long time. That said being a police officer in this day and age is getting worse and worse. CSM Private RallyPoint Member Sun, 30 Nov 2014 20:31:16 -0500 2014-11-30T20:31:16-05:00 2014-11-24T22:30:19-05:00
