I went to my local CVS to get a prescription filled so I didn't have to drive 15 miles to the VA hospital vs a 2 mile drive and they thought I was still under Tricare. I've been out of the Army since October 2016 and now covered under VA medical insurance (80% disability). I showed the people at CVS my VA card and they still think I'm covered under Tricare.Has anyone else been having trouble getting prescriptions filled at local pharamcies?2018-05-24T11:30:57-04:00SGT Eric Dempsey3657104<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Is it just me or are other people frustrated with civilian pharmacies (such as Wal-Mart and CVS) that don't know the difference between Tricare and VA medical insurance when it comes to getting prescriptions filled? If they didn't give you a voucher with the prescription to give to that pharmacy they aren't covering that prescription. You either fill it at the VA, fillbat retail pharmacy if the VA provided a voucher, use other health insurance (if they have approved the prescription), or pay out of pocket.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 14 at 2018 5:59 PM2018-10-14T17:59:56-04:002018-10-14T17:59:56-04:002018-05-24T11:30:57-04:00
