I have known folks that were "let go" from their jobs based off comments posted on social media. I have been asked a few times by interviewers about what posts/pix are on my social media sites. I have nothing to hide and only use this site and FB for social media so I tell them "not only is it clean, but we can login and look at right now if you'd like"Response by MSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 7 at 2016 6:24 PM2016-07-07T18:24:37-04:002016-07-07T18:24:37-04:00PO1 William "Chip" Nagel1698039<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No I received Notice that all the Personal Data for anyone that had a Security Clearance had been Hacked/Compromised.Response by PO1 William "Chip" Nagel made Jul 7 at 2016 8:34 PM2016-07-07T20:34:04-04:002016-07-07T20:34:04-04:00SFC Joseph Weber1705190<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I think it should have been assumed,Response by SFC Joseph Weber made Jul 10 at 2016 7:14 PM2016-07-10T19:14:27-04:002016-07-10T19:14:27-04:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member1708673<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Privacy settings.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 12 at 2016 1:29 AM2016-07-12T01:29:42-04:002016-07-12T01:29:42-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member1993685<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>They can look at what you have set available for the public to see. So if you're worried just go through your settings and lock it up. If you want help you can see your S6/S2. someone should have the social media walkthrough on how to secure it. If anything the IAO (Information Assurance Officer) should know where to get it.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 19 at 2016 7:27 PM2016-10-19T19:27:12-04:002016-10-19T19:27:12-04:00GySgt Carl Rumbolo1993693<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>And this is a surprise why? If you post on social media don't be surprised if it turns up somewhere. I don't care if you 'lock down' your stuff. And btw - it's fairly obvious that alot of people are damn careless on social media. I have seen all sorts of opsec stuff posted on FB and the like by servicemen - and not just young kids.Response by GySgt Carl Rumbolo made Oct 19 at 2016 7:30 PM2016-10-19T19:30:25-04:002016-10-19T19:30:25-04:002016-07-07T15:30:16-04:00
