Has anyone switched from a direct commissioned AMEDD Reserve Officer (administrative) to AD Air Force Clinician? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-anyone-switched-from-a-direct-commissioned-amedd-reserve-officer-administrative-to-ad-air-force-clinician <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Has anyone switched from a direct commissioned AMEDD Reserve Officer (administrative) to AD Air Force Clinician? I want to use my doctorate degree and I need to pay off my loans... Physical Therapy in the Army Reserves is over strength and the SLRP I was told to add once I finished my doctorate in the reserves has &quot;vanished&quot; (My unit career manager/recruiter have no idea what I&#39;m talking about). I signed on with the Reserves in 2018 with no incentives or service obligations. (Unless the unwritten rumor I&#39;ve heard is true.) Any advice? I&#39;ll graduate with 180,000 in SL and if I don&#39;t get a public sector job to qualify for Public Student Loan Forgiveness I&#39;ll definitely need to switch to AD. But that obligation should be able to be spent in any Service. You&#39;ll need to talk to an AF recruiter to see what their process is, but they&#39;ll be able to walk you through the conditional release you&#39;ll need from AMEDD and the Army for the transfer of commission. 1LT Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 17 Mar 2020 17:14:55 -0400 2020-03-17T17:14:55-04:00 2020-03-04T10:28:14-05:00
