Have you ever met one of your RallyPoint contacts in person?

RallyPoint members are scattered all over America. More than a few it seems are scattered over other parts of the world. I've made friends with a few of them. Some are even contacts. But I had never met one in person before yesterday. I had posted a notice about the 50th Commemoration of the Vietnam War at Fort Irwin, California, and Ken Ellis contacted me to find out if we could go together. We could and we did. I highly recommend that you try it, too.

I have not. But, I did meet a vet from my home area. He was on FB and we had a good time.

Yes , me and fellow RP member Keith Bodine served together in Vietnam with the 1St Cav Div . We both volunteered as doorgunners for the 229th AHB . How stupid was that ? There was a shortage of doorgunners at that time and we just out of AIT and jump school thought it would be cool .

CPT Jack Durish, I've actually met only two my of my RP contacts. Unfortunately, I knew them before connecting on RP, so I don't think it really counts. I'm glad that you took the virtual connection to a person to person connection!

A few of my contacts were contacts ~ friends before we met up on RP. The man who invited me to join RP and I were friends for many years.

Yep, met Maj Chris Nelson a couple times before he moved to Spokane, Wa. We never did get a pic though. It always seems like there will always be time but times just wizzes along.

I'd have to take a 2 hour drive to Spokane area to find some. The closest to Bonners Ferry is a name I recognize but know he moved to Alaska so suspect his profile isn't current. I hope to meet up with COL Mikel J. Burroughs when I'm visiting SOCAL next month. Suspect for him it's any excuse to jump on the "ride" and go somewhere.

Yes I have met a great number of RP folks. I hold regular Metro DC area RallyPoint meet ups. I have had the honor of meeting some amazing RP folks. We know how to have fun here in the DC area! I have another one coming up next week!

Well, PO3 Private RallyPoint Member is my brother, I was a member of the same church as CW3 Kenneth Triplett, and I happened to meet CPT Private RallyPoint Member at the Fort Benning library one day. I'm sure there are several others that I've known personally over time.

Not sure if it counts but 1LT Eric Rosa and I served together in the NCARNG, did War Fighter together and a deployment to Jordan. That is where he gave me his Rally Point card and I only signed in last week. He is a great training partner for martial arts, strong as a horse. Eric, sorry to call you out but you are truly a great guy and officer.
