Have you seen the latest numbers on the backlog of VA Claims?

VA claims backlog being reduced according the the VA. Looks like they are working diligently to take care of the VETS.

Seems like a positive step but the fact that it was ever allowed to teach 611,000 is absurd. I would be interested to know how long some of the remaining cases have been around.

Sounds good, but is that only for new claims backlog, CRSC/CRDP claims, what about IDES troops?

The next hurdle will be the appeals; it takes more experienced individuals to navigate the legal requirements of the appeals process. And yes, those of us working the backlog, have put in untold hours to make it happen. The end of Mandatory Overtime is in my sight group!

Might be the lowest, but don't forget this article from August 17th which sparked an investigation on 3 other VA facilities that file claims!! Could this be the reason for the reduction in backlogged claims, shredding the claims ?

Step 1) Deny all claims as soon as they get in.

Step 2) Shred all requests for appeals.

Step 3) Force all vets to submit forms electronically, but force everyone to change their password to a 15 digit password that include a lowercase, upper case, number, special character, but no words in the English language longer than 2 letters, and you must change it every 2 days.

Step 4) Claim the VA website was hacked and all active claims were lost, requiring resubmission

Step 5) wait for everyone to die.

Step 6) Lie to the IG, Congress

Step 7) Turn off your phones.

Yes I've seen the number. 211,000 Vets are now waiting for appeals. I'm number 211,001 as of this week.
