Hello, Does anyone know why 2811 is not a choice for the USMC MOS selection?

It may have been cut or combined with another MOS because of budget cuts.

2811 was deleted about 10 years ago now. They reorganized the 2800 MOSs in 2003 I think. 2811s became 2847s. 2841s became either 2844 0r 2846 and 2818 became Either 2846 or 2848. At the same time all 2862, 2821, and 2811 Gunny and SSgts became 2862.

Recently they again changed the entry level MOS in the 2800 field and now there are just 2841 (radio) 2847 (telephone/computers)

They're 2847's now. They cut it.

The Marine Corps consolidated the 28xx field in 2001 and again after I left in 2003. The MOS was either 2844, 2846, and 2847. All SNCOs in the MOS that consolidated went to 2862 as well
