I think this is the best volunteer opportunity ever. These ladies and gentlemen dont have much time left for us to show them our appreciation for what they did for us. I think it's one of the best experience I have ever had and think it should be for you too. Get out and volunteer to do this. If you have questions I am more then happy to answer them.

I think that it is great volunteer opportunity also. I am stationed in Belgium and my family and I toured the beaches of Normandy a few weeks ago. It was a very humbling experience to say the least. To give back to the remaining veterans from that generation is an awesome display of gratitude.

This is a good program and will not take up a lot of time on your part. You choose your level of involvement. Volunteering for one flight basically involves one full day and the costs associated with that day.
The value comes from the help you give to the disabled vet your assisting. Often times this is their last chance to see the memorial due to their terminal condition. It's difficult to put a price on that value!

My grandfather got to go on the trip a few years back. Thankfully he made it before the Alzheimer began really beating him up. He showed off the pictures taken that day with pride pride that was indescribable. I am thankful to those that made this possible.

I participate in this program here in Central Missouri. My profile pic is taken from a group photo of one of our flag lines. I volunteer to squeeze into my uniform (that's a LOT of holding my breath) so that I can honor those that went before me.

SFC Private RallyPoint Member I just got the call that I will be attending to the April 25 Honor Flight and I'm really excited about it. I think it will be a GREAT experience for me as a junior enlisted. I just can wait! Cpl Anthony Pearson I'll let you know how it goes!

Honor Flight Columbus, Ohio. Been volunteering for the last 3-4 years as one of the ground crew. Very rewarding experience. One of these days I’m planning on going as a Guardian.
