I was told by the doctor at MEPS and my recruiter that the condition was waive-able and there shouldn’t be a problem. I waited 2 weeks and the SG denied my waiver, not even giving me an H2. I’m in the process of appealing the denied waiver, I went to an ENT doctor and took another hearing test and scored a 30 (which is the least you can score for the AF). Just wanted to see if it was odd my waiver was denied when even the ENT doctor said everything looked complete fine and if this appeal should work. Even with mild hearing loss shouldn’t I have been approved for a waiver? How can I appeal or get a waiver for a failed hearing test at MEPS? 2020-08-31T23:39:51-04:00 A1C Private RallyPoint Member 6265647 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I went to MEPS to retest for my hearing test, I was having trouble at the 500dbs, I scored 40 twice in my right ear but then did better with a 35 3 days later. Acceptable medical standards in the Military are higher by default in comparison. <br /><br />Good luck with your appeal Response by SSgt Christophe Murphy made Sep 1 at 2020 11:54 AM 2020-09-01T11:54:08-04:00 2020-09-01T11:54:08-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 6671925 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I failed 3 times and had ent results. Best bet is to put an ear plug in the night before and don’t take it out until right before the test. I just passed for the first time in my life. There is hope and I had to get a waver anyways even though i passed at meps Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 19 at 2021 12:20 AM 2021-01-19T00:20:52-05:00 2021-01-19T00:20:52-05:00 2020-08-31T23:39:51-04:00
