I'm considering reenlistment but only if I can land a spot as a flight medic. I previously went through paramedic school right before enlisting but fell short before graduation due to lack of time to complete my internship. I still have the knowledge and I really want to actually achieve my paramedic certification and work on a bird. What steps do I take from here?

Side note: I have poor vision and wear glasses, will that be a detriment? How can I become a flight medic? What steps do I take from here? 2018-02-22T02:41:46-05:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 3378409

I'm a spc medic in korea with 7 months left here and 2 1/2 years left in. You need to contact the 68WF2 (flight paramedic) branch manager and have him email you a current packet for flight medic. Part of the packet is a completed class 3 flight physical so you need to do that ASAP. Once the packet is complete talk to your battalion retention NCO. If that doesn’t get you anywhere talk to your brigade retention NCO. Let them know you want to reenlist for flight medic and that you have the packet for them to send to HRC. HRC sends you a school date and you either accept and reenlist or deny and get out or reup for something else. It’s a tedious process just to get in and then a long year of training but it’s worth it at the end. I’m a little more than 3 weeks from graduating the last phase and getting my F2 ASI.
