CPT Jason Rodriguez1269237

I was boarded on the Nov 15' AMEDD Commissioning Board. I was told that I was selected (Captain) and awaiting commissioning. I found out yesterday when the scroll released that I was admin rejected. Reason being, I received severance pay in 1994 from the Marines. HQ knew of this sev pay, processed, boarded, selected, scrolled. HQ now says rejected because sev pay. Appeal submitted. Thoughts? How can I best appeal an AMEDD admin rejection after being selected?2016-01-30T14:08:32-05:00CPT Jason Rodriguez1269237

I was boarded on the Nov 15' AMEDD Commissioning Board. You accepted an early out severance package so now you can't be an officer. Personally I think that is BS! I wish you luck bucking the system. There has to be some kind of Waiver.Response by PO1 William "Chip" Nagel made Jan 30 at 2016 4:16 PM2016-01-30T16:16:40-05:002016-01-30T16:16:40-05:00SFC A.M. Just to follow up,,, I was informed later in the year that I should have been given a waiver. I was boarded again and put on the OML. However, two weeks ago I was sworn in as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve. It was a long road consisting of many years and two degrees. But I never gave up. I wanted to thank all that commented on my original post. I was devastated with the original results, but having you all to chat with made it easier. I thank you all for your service and for being there when someone needs you.

Sincerely,
CPT Jason H.
