SPC Private RallyPoint Member 3856707 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Last may, I received an Article 15, and got reduced from SPC to PV2. I have been in the Army since 23 FEB 2015. My DEROS date is 14 JAN 2019, and my ETS is 16 JAN 2019. I have read into AR 601-280 but I’m having a hard time understanding what is a justified cause to extend past my ETS. I only have to extend enough time to get back to SPC. I was told that under normal circumstances, I could have re-enlisted as a PFC, but I will not be able to because of the 5 year RCP. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This isn’t a career I’m ready to give up. Thanks How can I extend past my ETS date for the purpose of gaining back my rank? 2018-08-06T10:01:29-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 3856707 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Last may, I received an Article 15, and got reduced from SPC to PV2. Have you transformed from an under-performing soldier to a stellar troop? Unfortunately, that reg is confusing and all of the policy updates are published elsewhere.<br />You are allowed to extend up to 30 days past your RCP. The purpose of the extension is to reach RCP.<br />Usually you would be placed on assignment 6 months from your DEROS and you could extend at that time, but you are probably a first term soldier. It has to go thru the CoC. There isn’t anything I can do besides go to SFL-TAP and prepare my transition. There is a small chance and even smaller window to possibly extend to make it happen, but that’s a few months down the road. Thanks for all the advice though!
