I tried doing this by accepting the 1yr free premium. Followed the prompts and it had me enter my LinkedIn information and no premium service. I just left it there. I would recommend engaging their customer service to help you. LI has a page where you fill out some information. Should be able to locate it thru a search under the Help Center using the cog wheel icon. Otherwise, monthly subscription is about $30.
