As what I consider a symbol of Freedom and that I fight for everyday; I find it very difficult to understand why people in this country do these kinds of things.

Seems to me that it's best to just ignore the ignorance.
People are free to protest as they wish. Nothing good will come from getting angry or responding with negativity.
We serve to protect that right, whether we like it or not.

Feel free to get angry. Anger in itself is neither a good nor bad emotion. It's how we use the emotion which can turn it negative.
Each time I see these incidents, I get angry. However, my response is always the same. Free country. Right to Protest. What went so wrong that with our government that people are ready to take out their anger on the living symbol of our Nation, and can it be fixed?

Be happy that the freedom to do so still exists and move on... Censorship is a ball that, once rolling, rolls faster and faster, gaining momentum. Censor one thing you don't like, whose to say your particular stance isn't next?

Sir people have been throwing tantrums with the flag forever, this isn't new. Nothing needs done about it, many other things are more important.
