How do you become an Aerospace Propulsion Instructor? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-do-you-become-an-aerospace-propulsion-instructor

I just arrived at Misawa AB and was wondering how I could go about becoming an instructor after I leave here in 3 years. I understand fully how things can change, but it is something I really want to do. Any suggestions?? I wish I could help but I can't. I just saw that you are in Misawa and wondered how you like it? My fiancee is wanting to move back there. She was born in raised there. The first step is to make sure the school house is hiring, look on equal plus under your AFSC and if its there apply. you can also view the SPECAT requirements via the eqaul plus. it will be the standard stuff last 3-4 EPRS cannot be less than a 4, no pt fails in the last ( i think ) 3 years, and the big one is you have to be able to get your CCAF in less than 12 months once arriving Sheppard.

In case you look at the equal plus and tech school is not there you can ask your section chief to make a phone calll to the functional ( must be a MSgt or above) to put in a good word for you. I Never tried calling the functional but the worst they can do is note that your interested and say no , but the school house is always looking for people, one of the keys to MX training is to send people that have relevant experience and not keep people stagnate at the base.

Hope this helped MSgt Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 14 Jan 2015 21:39:39 -0500 2015-01-14T21:39:39-05:00 2014-08-08T06:22:59-04:00
