When we have to watch over our shoulders because were not even safe in our own country though? I understand there will always be a certain amount of risk of getting shot or killed by terrorists but it seems like the government just isn't doing anything to protect its people to me. How does everyone feel about the ISIS threats on home soil and the little that seems to be done about It? 2014-10-07T16:17:10-04:00 SrA Private RallyPoint Member 268253

It just seem like the government couldn't care less and just views everyone this new threat kills as expendable. There are many terrorist organizations throughout the U.S. The numbers would stun the general population. Sadly, you're right the government doesn't do much in this area. Hmmm, wonder why that is!

The best things to do is to continue to educate oneself as to what is going on, to vote to get good people elected as our representatives, and to prepare oneself and family in case of an emergency. Scared people buy supplies, weapons, ammo, etc... It's good for the economy.

Your odds of being killed by a terrorist are about commensurate with your odds of being killed by a shark that is also being struck by lightning.. The mere threat is a part of terrorism. Making you afraid in your own home. There have been three attacks/attempts in the last 15 years v more threats then can be counted. The likelihood of an attack from ISIS on our turf is so slim you have a better chance of marrying Lady Gaga (and this is after her commitment ceremony to her beau).

We need to stop spazing over EVERY little STUPID thing that comes up in the news. It is like when we freak EVERY year when N Korea and S Korea go at it...again. They won't go to war with each other again. Not in a million years. One of the reasons these groups keep gaining strength is because we stupidly show that we are afraid of our own shadows. If the public and media would just knock it off these groups would have little power over us.
