Basically, you sign up and start earning points. You can then use those points to request tickets through a lottery system. If you win, you lose the points. If you don't win, they give you the points back. If you win tickets, you pay a small processing fee. I’ve never used FNG, but got some baseball tickets at a discount through GOVX. You have to sign up and be verified first. They don’t always have discounted tickets either, but they have more than VETTIX, because hey don’t rely on donated tickets. I also set my Amazon Smile to donate to them. We have to drive 2 1/2 hours to the nearest venue so it would take a lot to get us interested. We did see Blake Shelton and did the photo op poster thing there. If our experience is somewhat normal, the donated tickets were in the nosebleed section. We left 2/3rds the way through primarily because the noise was so pounding painful. Guess many of us need ear muffs at these things. Also, it seems they have unusually long headliners which meant Blake didn't show until 2130. Long drive back. So now we just pass. I would guess it's a results will vary thing with location. There was also a surprising number of small events that are great kid/family events. VetTix is serious about following their rules. Some seem a little goofy but I'm sure they exist for a reason. You set up your notification by area you are willing to travel. Scalp tickets and you will never be able to use it again. Great program for vets and we have seen some great shows. They could use some donations as well.
Response by Maj Marty Hogan made Jun 24 at 2018 12:02 PM 2018-06-24T12:02:20-04:00 2018-06-24T12:02:20-04:00 CPL Butch Hogan 3741657

Hello everyone, thank you all for the very kind words!

The vast majority of the tickets we get are through bulk ticket donations. Currently, those donations are mostly from venues, artist, promoters, teams, etc. So we do not get tickets to every event in town, but every day we are making new relationships and increasing the number of events we are able to offer.

We are also about to launch our Season Ticket Holder programs in several ticketing platforms, once that happens, we will be able to take in large amounts of donations from individuals, which will greatly expand the number of events we have available to you. I couldn't figure out how to donate the tickets to Vet Tix so I ended up calling a couple of military clients to find out if they knew anyone who wanted the tickets (had to have a disability).
My clients have used Vet Tix to be able to go to some sporting events in Phoenix and LA. Their only lament was it takes alot to rack up the points so you can get into a lottery for free tickets.
